ANODIZING
THESE PARTS HAVE ALL BEEN ANODIZED. This involves immersing the aluminum in a chemical bath and applying an electrical current to it which causes oxide to be produced from the resulting rust on the aluminum. The layer of oxide hardens the aluminum & is coated with the colour added.
